The Career Education Business Program is an affordable educational program designed to connect people to career success and opportunity. Our career-based learning program provides individuals with valuable tools, skills and training needed to secure a career position. The program was developed as an alternative to the traditional institutions of higher education for those persons who have been unable to experience college-level learning for various reasons.
Our training programs focus on a comprehensive range of skills and principles necessary for success in any business or office setting. While preparing to enter the workforce, students will learn useful job search techniques and have access to helpful resources to enhance employment opportunities.
Student Services
Personal attention: We are available to assist you with your professional goals. Course selection, academic advising, admissions, registration and financing are all services that are available.
Small classes: We offer small classes and personal attention from instructors.
Knowledgeable faculty: Our faculty take great pride in teaching and presenting a personal approach. They are experts in their fields who share a commitment developing students as good citizens and professionals. We are committed to a student centered environment.
Job search assistance: Participants will learn useful job search techniques and have access to helpful resources to enhance employment opportunities.

Financial Aid
Students can receive financial aid if they qualify. Low income adults, workers who have been laid-off from their jobs, displaced homemakers, self-employed individuals, at-risk youth, veterans,individuals of Hawaiian ancestry and individuals who are currently working may qualify.

Employment and Training Fund (ETF)
In 1991, the State Legislature established the Employment and Training Fund (ETF) program to address the growing need to upgrade the job skills of Hawaii's workforce. The program is specifically designed to upgrade current employee and employer skills so that Hawaii business can remain competitive in today's global marketplace. Employers can refer their employees to existing short-term, non-credit training courses. The program is open to all within a company.
Newman Consulting Services, LLC is an ETF approved training provider for the following courses:
- Microsoft Office 2007
- Keyboarding/Typing Keyboarding
- Work Readiness Skills
- Basic Employment Skills
- Time Mangement Skills
- Stakeholder Team Building
- Decision-Making and Problem Solving
Eligibility
- Employee(s) must be referred by their employer
- Requested training must be related to employee's present position
- Requested training does not supplant or subsidize training that is directly related to the goods and services that an employer provides to the public
